Copper, January 2018

You might have seen Copper on the Loudoun County Animal Services Facebook page when they were trying to find a ride for him back to his family in Tennessee.  What you didn't see on their Facebook page is that Copper has a pretty bad leg injury, and he needs surgery to fix it.

The shelter was not sure they'd be able to find Copper's family when he first arrived, but they did know that his leg needs to be fixed, so they asked us if we would fund his FHO surgery .

Copper will be heading home on Sunday, and because his family can't afford to get him surgery, we have agreed to pay their vet directly. The same surgery that is $1200 in Northern VA is $800 where he lives, and we know he'd be more comfortable resting in his own home.

Please help us cover the cost of this surgery. It's not often that we get to play such an important role in reuniting a family, and we hope you'll agree that his own home is the best place for him to be.
